A Motion Picture cannot be called a movie until it solves the purpose of being one... until you get any flavour of entertainment from a motion picture its not a Movie

March 26 "Freak"etAs an avid follower of the sport of Cricket and the Indian Cricket team, the term Cricket has been gradually been transformed to "Freak"et, courtesy the ever so Godly Indian Cricket Team.. Oops the Indian Freaket Team... The so called "team" reached it's nadir on 23 March 2007 during the World Cup game against Sri Lanka... A day every Indian cricket fan when never forget...as the Freaky Friday.. The current Indian cricket team epitomizes what a cricket team ( nah...make it ANY team) shouldn't do. Right from the beginning of the "night long" match, the men in blue didn’t seem like having the killing instinct to win....and this has been going on for years since the last few world cups. I feel ashamed of such a team from a country of a billion people can't come up with a team of players with a winning attitude in the ONLY sport that's been followed by every Indian. Time and again we the fanatic followers of these "Gods" have seen that these so called sportsmen don't play for the country, they play for personal glory. There is no Team in Team India... its just individuals, and individuals can never make a single handed difference to the purpose of a so called team. When are we gonna stop putting these individuals on a pedestal, when is the "team" going to perform like a team should? when are the sponsors going to stop throwing money on some one who has ONE good day at work and make us believe that he is the new God of the 30 second commercial world....? It's not going to happen until WE the followers of the "Gods" really start following the sport...start following the team. But we Indians have a very typical behavior of forgetting these humiliating moments very soon...as soon as one of the individuals decides to do his "job" of playing well....so from the depths of criticism he is back on the pedestal in just one day of "real work"....never forget that these individuals are professionals...they are getting paid for playing well...popularity is the perk of the job... how can some one be popular even if the very reason of their popularity is doing their job well... is not performed as it was first supposed to. They forget this very fact and so do we as the cricket crazy nation... So for this humiliation we as the followers are equally responsible as much as the individuals playing the game...don't you think so?... strip these individuals down the pedestal and make them realise that and Indian Cricket Fan follows the Indian TEAM not the Freak Indian Player... September 27 Who Am I ?Ever wondered, what your purpose in Life is? Why are you here for? What do you want to do in life? What's you sole purpose in life...? What are you looking forward to..? Where do you want to be in next 10..15... 20 .. years' time. Hundreds or thousands of new lives are created everyday and equal number's candles of existance extinguished... what are those lives / individuals here for .. what did those individuals who reached their end of life's journey do during their existance... did they know what they were here for ....what about the new born...will they ever be able to find out the true purpose of there mere existance ? or they too will live a life of chasing something thet they WANT but don't know they really do NEED it.. and at the end of the road realise that whatever they were after is just a materialistic attaraction to something that their parents might have wanted them to have when they "Grow up"...reminds me the scene from the movie Forrest Gump where Forrest is asked by his Drill Sgt. on his first day in army - "Gump... What's your sole purpose in this army? ". Forrest simply replies " To do whatever you tell me Drill Sgt." Simple but very thoughtful...aren't we all trying to follow some one subconciously? Are we on the right path? Those are the questions I am looking for answers for.... I don't know whether I really know what I am looking for..or its something like a crush I had for that girl in grade 5 which ceased to exist as time flew by.... As Copernicus rightly said - " To know that we know what we know, and to know that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowledge." ..... this is just a begining of my quest for knowledge.. I've got a long way to go... |
